The second album from post-punk Annex out of Texas. Musically, Melu is like dark wave meets anarcho-punk…Killing Joke adjacent? The members of Annex have backgrounds in hardcore punk, so I think they’ve earned the “post-punk” label. The record is catchy but dark; melodic and gothy. Sadly, I don’t have a lot of point of references for this stuff, but it’s good. Lyrics are in English and Spanish.
