Artificial PeaceComplete Session November 81

This is basically a demo tape that was never released; per the liner notes. The band is probably best known for being being on the Flex Your Head compilation, to which they contributed 3 tracks, and this is the entire output from that session.

Musically, pretty standard early hardcore that sounds like it came from DC - fast and frantic, but missing something compared to their better known peers, even though it’s practically the same formula. Probably fun to see them live, doesn’t really do it for me on record. There are two covers in this session: The intro to UXB is the riff from Van Halen’s Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love, which is rad, and they cover Wild Thing and punkify it up at the end.

Both sides of my record have the same Side B label, which probably doesn’t make it rare, but does make it annoying!
