Love this record. Gruff, fast and carrying the torch of the early 80’s Boston Hardcore bands, this record totally rips. It’s not an entire blur - while there are plenty of fast parts, it is balanced with a few breakdown parts and one song in particular - A Call To Arms - is a slow burn with downright inspirational lyrics. This is not to be confused with the song actually titled Slow Burn on side B, which is not a slow burn, but whose moshy outro turns into a nice piano melody to close out the record. Overall Fire is excellent, and you can hear the influences of several bands distilled into one 25 minute record without sounding like a cheap rip.
My favorite track was hard to pick, but settled on Broken Spirit. What You Get is a catchy close second.
