Don’t worry kid, it’s just the rest of your life…! I spent some time with the BLB (Bottom Line Boys, that’s what they call themselves, right?) around the time this one came out. I was living in NYC and didn’t know many people there, so it was nice to have some familiar faces who let me hang around at their practice space somewhere near the Flatiron Building. I think I rode the subway to the bronx to see them play a show at Fordham University once.
Musically it sort of bridges the 90’s and early 00’s hardcore sound, inspired by Floorpunch, Madball, with a few sprinklings of Mental etc. I think this record is missing more backup gang vocals though - I only heard one on the whole record.
This is on gold vinyl / 100 with a special cover of Saddam’s palace in flames. That makes two Iraq-war references in a row!
