Edition 4 of Blood Sucker Record splits 7”, entitled “Blood Sucking Freaks”, this time featuring Violencemoment and Crude. I was hoping for something a bit different here, and the beginning of the first track proved promising - with a dark synthy intro that suggested some crusty Amebix bits, but it pretty quickly turned into run of the mill Burning-Spirits style hardcore - complete with Maiden-esque meandering leads and riffs, off-paced vocals, and gang chants. Not nearly enough to capture my interest though. The Crude side is better - cranking the energy, chaos and intensity up to 11. I definitely prefer early Crude to whatever they turned into in the late 00s.
Artwork is pretty bad for even mid-90s photoshop work, complete with distorted / stretched images - somehow both sides of the sleeve are the same and also look bad.
