Destruct's split Release with Toronto's Absolut, where each band contributes 3 tracks. on Side A, Absolut opens it up, playing a dark and abrasive brand of hardcore punk, with some pretty heavy riffing and ripping solos. I wasn't familiar with this band, surpisingly, but they have been around and are perpetuating my assumption that Canada has better bands per capita than most places.
On side D (get it?) Destruct side brings their signature driving, pummeling d-beat heat to the platter. They're one of my favorite current bands in this genre, really embracing that Bastard sound.
