This should have been titled “Some songs by Battalion of Saints” instead of “Best of”. “Best of” records totally lame, give me a discography or nothin, but here we are. This one is an even later pressing, and has no insert, and no indication of which song is on what album - unclear if earlier pressings had this information somewhere. It’s questionable whether this is “the best of” Battalion of Saints, considering it contains no songs off of Second Coming except on the live side. The “studio side” contains 3 tracks from the Fighting Boys EP - from which this comp took its cover art; 8 songs from a demo, and a comp song. The Live song is a mix of early tracks, later tracks and covers, including a Mötorhead and Dead Boys cover.
The demo tracks are great, the comp track is good, I could give or take the EP tracks and the live side - well, I don’t like live tracks normally, but these are a bit better than I expected, and cover what I would consider the Best Of Battalion of Saints (Second Coming, My Mind’s Diseased, Fair Warning) - but they’re still live tracks.
