On The Scar Of Lead, AGE just gets faster and more frantic - while Exploding Insanity felt more restrained in pace, this gets more chaotic, and the result is a less-heavier sound. There’s a lot more guitar flourishes on every song, and it’s overall more metallic in sound, even thrashing at times. The best parts of this record is when it slows down just a bit - it’s more reminiscent of the band’s earlier efforts to me. I actually put it on 33 RPM and aside from the vocals sounding ridiculous, it’s almost better to me. Overall, good stuff but Exploding Insanity is better. There’s a Twisted Sister cover - one of the stronger songs on the album!
