The crustiness continues, this time from AGE on a five-song 12”. This record is thick, crunchy and dark but somehow groovy at the same time. The normal influences of UK Anarcho punk bands like Amebix, Axegrinder, Sacrilege, and Antisect all are present here. Some of it is really atmospheric and melodic, but doesn’t really get plodding - the drums and bass don’t settle down enough, which I think is a good thing. Side B is a good example of this, as the feedback from the end of Exploding Insanity leads into a clean, melancholy melody to open up Runaway Machines, leading to a heavy intro to the vocals. A good way to spend 20 minutes.
