Exit Milo to go to college (again), and enter Dave Smalley from DYS / Dag Nasty as the Descendants turned into ALL. There’s lots of harmonies and backing vocals, which gives the album a really melodic, pop-punk feel, and the lyrical themes build off that, with the standard song topics of young love, broken hearts, sex, the religion of ALL, and burritos. Not too far off from where the Descendants were, especially given their previous album was also called ALL. It’s almost as if they were literally the same band. I like this album a lot, it’s fun and catchy, and even a bit sad at times.
