An album that proved that Bob’s still got it - this is less of an indie rock album and more of a punk rock album - fast, brief and angry. The first side tracks are a whirlwind - you get a bit of an acoustic calm before the storm with “Heart on My Sleeve” and then it’s off to the races, and before you know it, you’re on the 5th track, “Forecast of Rain”, when you can finally catch your breath a bit.
Sadly, the record doesn’t continue this run; it peters out about a third of the way through - Side B is not nearly as good. But Side A is strong and worth the price of admission alone. I think they could have left this a 7 song 12” EP: just like Metal Circus.
