Bob MouldSilver Age

This is the final entry in the Bob Mould Solo Series, a solid indie rock release from an elder statesmen of the genre. He’s got a way of writing poppy hooks with just enough edge and darkness to creep in around the edges. I really like songs that can sound both happy and sad at the same time, and these songs are good at that. I’m not as wild about his singing on this record vs Patch The Sky, for some reason, but it’s a nit pick. This is good driving music.

It has excellent production as usual, and the layout is cool with different icons designed for each song. Lyrically private, a bit opaque, but the songs read like a poetic diary.
