First and only LP by Citizens Arrest, released the year they broke up. Their record release show for this LP was their last show until they reunited in 2010 - a show for which I hopped on a plane from Chicago to La Guardia, and took a cab straight to the venue, and left early the next day. I love this record, and while maybe it is not as end-to-end breakneck, or perhaps did not capture the band in its prime as much as the EPs that preceded it, I think the combination of some weirdo slow parts, fast parts and the intense vocals hits a sweet spot for me. Daryl’s death grunt comes out here from time to time, and the musical blend of different influences works here - from grinding blastbeats to youth crew to doomy sludge and beyond. It’s a dark, powerful and even ambitious record in ways, but unclear whether that ambition was intentional or just indicative of the members band going in different directions at the time.

The production is great on this record, recorded and produced at Don Fury’s. This is an album to be enjoyed start to finish - all killer with no filler. My copy is a second pressing on red vinyl.

Later, I’d get to shake Daryl’s hand after being introduced by a mutual friend at Maryland Death Fest, and tell him what a fan I was of CXA.
