Portland’s Decomp brings some filth-ridden stenchcore veering into the death metal territory from time to time - cut from the same patched-up, dirty cloth as UK forebears Axegrinder and Sacrilege, but they don’t shy away from a pretty heavy breakdown in pretty much every other song, and even slow it down to crushing a molasses-like pace. There’s some ripping solos and some groove here and there. Japanese crust core gods Effigy and Disturd are also a clear influence. Something for everyone as long as you’re not into deodorant.
