The A-TeamA is for Asshole

Ahhh yes, one of my favorites by one of the best lives shows out there. I’ll always say this band was criminally underrated, but maybe they weren’t - they probably had just had the right amount of just right kind of fans. I spent a lot of time with the A-Team since half the band went to the same school I did, and saw them a ton, and it always felt like a wild party (it usually was). I feel fortunate to have wasted part of my early twenties with them; peep the cool pic of me and in the insert. Good times.

The A-Team played fast, uncompromising hardcore with metal and hard rock influences, complete with some ripping solos and an excellent rhythm section. Lyrically misanthropic and dark, but with tongue often firmly in cheek. Some choice highlights include the filler “you’re a fucking taint” and the intro, “hey shitbag…”. I only wish the production was better on this record, their subsequent EP Clusterfuck sounds a lot better.

I have 3 variants of this record, with 3 different covers, including a “controversial” school massacre illustration. The normal cover is much less controversial because it features an tank running over an old guy on crutches, a wrestling fan (?), a legless in a wheelchair, and a pregnant lady. The A-Team ain’t here to pander to your sensibilities, you need to GROW UP!
