These might be among the best two A-Team songs, backed with a solid Motörhead cover - both of the originals have a Slapshot vibe to them, but were relegated to compilations. Iron Fist gets a dialed up a bit too, just a touch faster than its original. If these later recordings by the band indicate the direction that the A-Team were going, I think we potentially missed out on an untouchable second LP.
There was a limited cover of this record with Santa on it that was released for their second reunion in 2018 - one that I did not get to attend. I was at their “first reunion” in a snow storm in 2014, and it was such a great time. Here’s hoping for another one!
