What a great EP this is. Träume's EP was first self-released as a cassette, so I guess it was a demo? But the production is great, with all sound coming through clearly and without compromise. Their flavor of urgent hardcore punk is powerful, but not overly crunchy - the guitar has a reverby, nearly Dead Kennedys sound to it, vs a heavily distorted crasher-crusty tone that really works for me. That doesn't mean this is light weight, they've got a way of pummeling you with a wall of sound, with some dramatic pace changes and some tremolo arm flairs here and there. The singer's voice is great, her delivery just presses the sense of urgency. Four songs on each side, with each bleeding into another - great arrangement, short and sweet.
