This single captures DJ’s in their early major label era with the epic Out There from Where You Been. A seriously great song - one of my favorites by this band - the lyrics are about J’s recently passed father and the song has an appropriately mournful feel. Treat yourself to the music video if you want to see J playing guitar at the summit of a seriously impressive mountain on skis.
There’s a live cut of The Post from Bug - a good rendition of a good song. Second side has a quiet, acousticy alternative cut of Keeblin’ from Out There, and wraps up with a live version of Kracked from You’re Living All Over Me. All in all, 4 great songs from the best era of this band.
This 10-inch is in a sleeve that is little better than magazine paper, and has no insert. But hey, it’s ‘limited edition” - mine is #3983 😎
