This is the one and only LP from “Tokyo Crow”, and maybe their peak. Super high production quality, with a very chunky guitar sound, along with the requisite endless pounding beats - this time from “Iron Fist” Tatsushima from GISM - and the desperate, wailing vocals from Crow. Many of these songs appear on previous EPs, so while this record is not a dirth of new material, it is all untouchable: heavier and crustier than ever before.
Side “Bloody” starts with 闘争 / “Anarchy / Chaos / Destruction” with blends in some burning-spirits style leads below the crusty goodness, that leads into the excellent 闘争 (Struggle”).
Side “Tear” opens up with the meloncholy melody of Death of Nuclear Arms, conjuring images of gentle ash fall from a nuclear blast before leading into Konton Shin: chaos god. The whole album is a ripper, even if we’ve heard some of these tunes before.
First issued in Japan via CD, Prank records released this on vinyl. I have two limited first pressings on red / clear splatter (150) and red (300), and a second pressing with a red cover. Second pressing is remastered. I could listen to this record forever, it’s probably a top 10 for me.
